This step is in keeping with Lozanov’s observation that communication takes place on “two planes”: on the one, the linguistic message — the narrative — is encoded; and on the other are factors which complement the linguistic message, for example, the teacher’s actions and the music. When there is a unity between the two planes, learning is enhanced.
